Can't explain why toe-walking is so compelling to me but it has something to do with sensory input and the sheer delight of inertia and weight and bounce bounce bounce I think
like. Heel-toe walking is fine, I guess. But going digitigrade is like. Fast. Smooth floor. Grass. Dirt. All the weight in your body shifting at the same time, balanced, your heart and your lungs and your feet. Your center of balance becoming a tangible thing. Bubbles and sunshine and rocks. The entire world is a trapeze and you're dancing on it.
Heel-toe is like. I'm slow and I'm tripping and my calves hurt and I just slammed my shoulder into a wall. You get me

NEIL
Angel of War, angular and strange, gleaming silver and gold,
Angel of Wonder, pure and one-eyed, looking to stars new and old,
Angel of Harvest, simple and hidden, bring nature's sweetness to all,
Angel of Health, mysterious and fine, beacon when life starts to fall,
Angel of the Deep, crooked and cage-like, guide us across the sea,
Angel of Solace, protect us from evil, lead us to where we are free.
i think that there should be more modern songs in tempo rubato
don’t get me wrong i love a click track, it’s such a useful tool
but the expressiveness of rubato when done well just makes the song so impactful and emotional
